The Palacio de Nariño or the Casa Nariño is the official place were many of the president of Colombia had live. The Casa de Nariño is located in the historical center of Bogota in the Carrere 8ª N° 7-26.

In the casa de Nariño you can’t enter cameras because they can damage some old things. Only are photos of the outside part.

HISTORY!!

La casa de nariño was build on the lands where was th nariño's family house and that is why is the casa de nariño, in that time that house costed 5,200 patacones. On rafael reyes goverment he said that one that house to be the goverment house, many presidents wanted but others wanted to continue living in the San Carlos palace. Finally, in the 1980 was reinagurated and the president contracted the architects Gaston de Learge and Julian Lombana to make some changes and in Eduardo Santos goverment built the 3 floor and the heliport.


In the gardens there is the national astronomic observatory that was design by Fray Domingo De Petres in 1803 and was a student of Jose Celestino Mutis.

La casa de Nariño is a very turistic place there is were is the Colombian's president live, the house has floors the first 2 floors are a turistic place and the third one is only for the president and his familys.

FOLDING THE FLAG!!

The battalion of infantry number 37 is in charge of the ceremony of folding the flag of Colombia, this is a very significant act because is the only time in the day when all the battalion that are guarding the casa de Nariño are in the same place.The battalion that is in charge of the ceremony act is integrated of: 29 officers 116warrant officers 1,189 soldiers 66 civilians in total the battalion is integrate of 1,400 persons.

SECURITY!!

The casa de nariño is very important ecause it was the place were all the family of Antonio Nariño lived for 30 years also because that was the place were all the presidents had live.The security of the casa de nariño is very strict because, when Uribe was select to be the president in 2002, the guerrilla throw a bomb to the casa de Nariño;when this happened the security was increase.

BOGOTA!!

Bogota is a beautiful city on Colombia, always is the capital, because La casa de Nariño is in this city and handle Colombia government. This city have many historical places like La Candelaria where you can find La plaza de Bolivar , La casa de Bolivar and the famous Cathedra. Like other cities we have typical candies and food like: Las moritas and el ajiaco, we have a lot of hotels and parks were you can be and play like: el Simon Bolivar.
This city have the tras milenio that is where the people go to their works for a cheap way. Los cachacos ( the way that call the persons that born in Bogota) are very special, friendly and like a lot the tourists. Our mayor is Samuel Moreno Rojas, On this city we have all the government buildings like: the justice palace and the mayor office.

Colombia!!

Colombia is a very beautiful country with many beautiful things, cities and persons. Colombia is located in south america at the north.Always we have many international tourism cities like: Bogota, San Andres and Cartagena, We have excellent people that are funny, respectful and the most important homely. We have some typical food like: “la bandeja paisa” , “ gallina” and “ la changua boyacense” .
Another beautiful thins in our country is that the cities have nice hotels, beaches and touristic places like: malls, “el mío” on Cali and “el trasmilenio” on Bogota. La casa de Nariño is important and support Colombia, because is where president’s family live and is where the government of Colombia handles is. Our president is Juan Manuel Santos.
